Khaled was born to a Muslim family in Cairo City, Egypt on July 10, 1972. He was raised in Kuwait State before immigrating to the United States in 1992. He quickly set about making the most of the infinite opportunities presented to him in America, earning an online Master’s Degree and becoming fluent in English.
Khaled entered the American workforce at J.F.K. airport. This gave him invaluable insight into the experience of the American worker while introducing him to diverse people from every corner of the globe. The communication skills and multi-cultural understanding Khaled formed during these formative years would prove invaluable as he built his career in public service.
Khaled continued to move up the ladder of success, working a series of increasingly complex security jobs before being hired as a contractor for the United States Army. His understanding of the cultural differences between the United States and the Arab World made him an essential part of the army’s diplomatic missions. During this time, Khaled began working on an issue that would come to define his professional career- the unlawful detainment of United States citizens by foreign governments.
With a diverse skillset and successful, professional experience across several industries, Khaled brings a dynamic, dependable demeanor and business-focused attitude to the CEO position, of the non-profit organization called American Human Rights organization. Khaled divorced and has 2 children.
